A heart pierced with a dagger has been on the popular imagery of tattoo since a long time, seen on sailors and old schoolers but also was depicted in faith by the Sacred heart . I made my own version of this classical image. On this drawing, a sword of strength and violence which symbol is the lion, pierces a realistic heart which represents the human emotion in flesh. The crown of thorns let us know that this pain is sacred, it is part of what it takes to be human, pain and pleasure. The spectacular splashes of blood depict an emotional explosion when the pointy dagger pierces the exact center of human emotions.
